Just one google search shows unlimited results on Karachi's devastating condition of flying insects. Residents of Karachi have been witnessing a fast paced damage to the city's condition of hygiene and maintenance, be it water supply, garbage collection or breakout of harmful pests. The rains of 2019 exposed the problem more harshly.
The government is somehow taking meager steps to control the situation. There is more dire need to cultivate awareness regarding hygiene and pest control within our houses and neighborhood. It does not mean that the responsibility of the government will be taken away this way, but actually as a society we will be able to protect our health and maintain our surrounding. We cannot deny that at large scale the actions of citizens add up to the unhygienic conditions in front of our houses and at public spaces.

According to the PCPD officials, they have identified mosquito breeding points in Karachi through a survey, whose results were analysed through the DIMAS software. The officials also obtained the help of environmental experts and entomologists to plan the fumigation drives.
